Q. It seems as if the average or bad salespeople always want to help, I don't want to be rude but I don't want their advice or results.A. Yes, these people always seem to have plenty of time on their hands to help people and avoid selling. In situations such as this, one of the best things you can do is to be busy. If you aren't busy when they come over, get busy. Use any excuse you need to such as: "I need to make a call." or "Oh, i just remebered I have to do (whatever you come up with)." You don't want to be rude and can even acknowledge the person and thank them for their help but, you have to get away from this waste of time.
Note: Occasionally they will have some good advice but for the most part, you want to be getting your advice from top salespeople. As you already know: Top advice, top results, bad advice, bad results.
